Scott is the square root of -1 also called as (small) i in mathematics. Apparently, it makes no sense (what is the square root of a negative number, you cannot multiply a number to itself to get a negative number) - but if you take the leap of faith into the complex plane of thoughts Scott opens you up to, you will find it to be very useful and insightful - just like the Fourier transform - which shows the same reality but from a different perspective and vantage point
